Eats and treats
Breakfast
Miscelánea Café – little pricey but good
Anchor – amazing chia pudding, and light breakfast and lunch options (my personal fav)
Orangy – smoothies
Organik – good for breakfast or lunch, smoothies, bowls, toasts and sandwiches
Cheap bites
Reubans – sandwiches, burgers and salads
Naty’s – place for a quick bit of authentic Mexican dishes like mole, rajas and other traditional dishes you would see prepared for a quick lunch in a traditional Mexican home.
Aloha – our favorite place to sit and greet locals and visitors alike. Best tuna sashimi in town! We sit here for hours on our days off
Burritos Revolution – traditional California burritos but an attitude… a good attitude
Middle of the road
Achara – GREAT Thai food for when you are tired of all those tacos (make sure to reserve the back garden)
La Rustica – decent Italian and a killer cocktail list. Their takeout is great and super fast! (Arrives at your door in 20minutes or less)
Fancy Shmancy
Don Pedros – upscale dining right on the beach. Great steaks and seafood. V romantic
Si Señor – a staple company in the bay, there are many from Vallarta to Punta Mita. You pay for the ambiance…not necessarily the food. Service is killer, get the table side guacamole
Happy Hours/Post work beer and chill
La Isla – right on the beach, good happy hour, good food
Frente El Punto – right on the beach, often live band in the events (follow them on IG to see when they have events)
Bars

Attico – live music, cute swings, great mezcal and awesome staff
Cava – amazing bartender who works Tuesday, Friday and Sundays 😉
Don Patos – Wild 3 story bar (the closest thing we have to a dance club)
Coco’s – on the beach. best place to party on Friday night
Yambak – Microbrewery that is really good!
La Sirenas. – locales go-to beach palapa bar that literally serves the most killer margaritas in town. only open during the day
Fav playas and hikes
hit up @seasayulita to book cool day excursions and surf lessons.
Los Muertos Beach – just north of the main beach by the cemetery, a quick walk from the main beach but just far enough to get away from the crowds
Mal Paso – a hike to a secluded beach with two caves on the Northside of the beach.
Monkey Mountain – may need a guide for the first time. Once at the top, you can see allll the way to Punta Mita
La lancha – on the way to Punta Mita, a great surf break for beginners and a lovely hike through mangroves
Experiences
Chica Locca – Boat trip for fishing, Isla marietas, and whale watching
